On Sunday, September 10 from 1-5pm, the Provincetown Theater will hold auditions for non-union actors at their playhouse at 238 Bradford Street in Provincetown, MA for the Cape Cod premiere of Heidi Schreck’s Tony Award-nominated Best Play of 2019, What the Constitution Means to Me.
Director Rebecca Berger seeks two actors for the three-character play which explores and embraces our country’s most sacred contract with democracy. (The role of Heidi has been cast.) Performers of color are strongly encouraged to audition.
One Male-identifying - 30s and up, with comedic chops.
One Female-identifying - teenager or 20s. Former or current debate team experience useful but not required.
Rehearsals begin in mid-October for a four-week period to be scheduled around actors’ availability. What the Constitution Means to Me performs weekends, November 16 – December 3. (No performance on Thanksgiving.) Each actor will receive an honorarium of $500 for their participation in the production.

With a sign-up sheet in the theater’s lobby, actors be seen on a first come/first serve basis. Sides from the script will be available at the auditions, as well as at the Provincetown Theater during weekday business hours now thru audition dates. Non-union actors only.
