Storyline:

A satirical stage play that tells the tale of a young woman who braves the chaos to chase her Canadian Dream with unwavering optimism and hilariously over-the-top enthusiasm. But little does she know, fate has other plans in store for her, as she finds herself thrust into the role of the patriarch of a wealthy, stealthy family.

Character Trends:

Dewin is a complex and multi-faceted character with a tough exterior that masks his kind and caring nature. He is a man of contradictions, with a biting wit and sarcastic sense of humor that belies his genuine concern for others. Despite his gruff exterior, Dewin is fiercely protective of those who are unable to defend themselves and will go to great lengths to help them. He is also highly open-minded, with a willingness to entertain even the most supernatural or unorthodox of ideas. In short, Dewin is a fascinating character who is both tough and tender, funny and caring, and highly adaptable to the challenges that life throws his way.

Other Details:

• This is a non-union role.
• $450 Flat pay. Paid at end of Strike.
• All Rehearsals and live performances are in person and in front of a live audience.
• Rehearsals will start on 5/22/2023. Rehearsals are Mon-Thursday.
• Weekend Rehearsals are only possible if needed, prior to Tech week. (TBD based on progress)
• Opening day 6/23/2023. Nine performances. Fri-Sun.
• The Theatre is located in Orange County, City of Los Alamitos in Bold Theatre.
• Auditions are virtual. Callbacks might be in-person.
