ENERGY ACADEMY - Touring Throughout Louisiana

The National Theatre for Children is looking for a New Orleans based BIPOC actor of any gender identity for a local touring production that will visit elementary schools in Greater New Orleans. The show is an original, educational comedy about energy conservation for elementary school students. Shows take place at schools and are during daytime, school hours.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and be a non-equity actor.

Rehearses March 5-9 in New Orleans; performs March 10-April 4 at various schools around New Orleans, LA.

Pays $550/week while performing the show. A $315 rehearsal stipend will also be paid.

The tour takes place around Greater New Orleans. Actors are home every night. Tours are two-person tours. Actors need to be local to New Orleans. Additional duties include: driving, putting up the set (15 mins), taking down the set (10 mins), and light bookkeeping.
