Auditioners should bring a prepared contemporary monologue and need only attend one night. Auditioners will also be asked to do cold readings. All characters require an Irish accent. We plan to use a dialect coach as needed.
Set in a small, remote pub in rural Ireland, three local men gather one night to share their usual gossip, lies, and a pint or two. On this particular evening, their close-knit group is joined by a newcomer to the area. As the night becomes dark and stormy, their stories take the same path, following the rural Irish tradition of faeries and folklore. The tables are soon turned, however, when Valerie the newcomer, tells a tragic tale of her own.
