Directed by Jack Wright, with original music by Chuck Berg, the breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to life in this adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel. Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger.

JAY GATSBY- a romantic idealist with a deserving smile; a self-made millionaire. (30's)
DAISY BUCHANAN-the woman Gatsby loves, with a Southern charm, and Nick Carraway's cousin. A little shallow and bored, she is in love with money, ease, and material luxury. (20's)
NICK CARRAWAY- A young man from Minnesota with a kind face and gentle manner. He is the narrator of the play. Gatsby is viewed through Nick's eyes. (29, early 30's)
TOM BUCHANAN- Tom is an arrogant bully, who hails from a socially solid and old family. Tom is well built and good looking. (30's)
JORDAN BAKER- She is Daisy's best friend and becomes romantically involved with Nick. A competitive golfer, she represents the new woman of the 1920's. She is athletic and
attractive but often cynical and self centered. (20's)
MYRTLE WILSON- She is Tom's lover and the wife of George Wilson. She is attractive and has a fierce vitality for living. She is always looking for a way to improve her situation (35ish)
GEORGE WILSON- Myrtle's lifeless husband who never seems to get ahead. He runs a run-down auto repair shop in the Valley of Ashes. He idolizes Myrtle, (late 30's)
MEYER WOLFSHEIM- A Broadway-style character and close friend to Gatsby, he is a prominent figure in organized crime. He helped Gatsby make his fortune. (60's)
LUCILLE MCKEE/ MRS MICHAELIS- Lucille is a close friend of the Buchanans. Michaelis is a neighbor of the Wilson's. Must be able to Dance. (30's)
CHESTER McKEE/ WAITER/ COP- Chester is an eccentric close friend of the Buchanans. Must be able to dance. (30's)
