Lorain Community Music Theater is excited to announce auditions for Sister Act, The Musical! We're looking for a diverse cast to bring this joyful and vibrant show to life. While the role of Deloris Van Cartier has already been precast, there are still many other fantastic roles to fill!
Audition Dates: March 9, 2025 from 2 – 4 pm and March 11, 2025 from 6 - 8pm. Callbacks will be by invitation only on March 16th. Audition Location: St. Peter School Gym located at 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain
We are seeking talented performers of all ethnicities for the following roles: Mother Superior, Sister Mary Robert, Sister Mary Patrick, Sister Mary Lazarus, Eddie, Curtis Jackson, TJ, Joey, and Pablo (Curtis's Henchmen), The Sisters of the Convent and Ensemble. Audition Requirements: Prepare a 32-bar song in the style of the show (something upbeat or in a similar genre to Sister Act). Bring sheet music, as an accompanist will be provided. You will be asked to demonstrate your vocal range, so please choose a song that shows off your strengths. Callbacks will be held on March 16th. You will be contacted if you are selected to attend callbacks. A dance combination will be taught at callbacks.
Rehearsals: Rehearsals will begin early June and will be held Sunday - Thursday evenings. Please make sure that you have availability for rehearsals as well as the entire tech week.
Performances: Sister Act, The Musical will run from July 24 – 27, 2025 at the Performing Arts Center, located at Lorain High School, located at 2600 Ashland Ave., Lorain. Please make sure you are available for all performances.
