Freeport Players announces open auditions for SeussicalTM! Casting actors 10 years old and up for this multi-generational, family-friendly musical based on the books of Dr. Seuss. All you need is enthusiasm, willingness to take direction, and a love of all things Seuss. 18 named roles include the Cat in the Hat, Horton, Mayzie, Jojo, Gertrude McFuzz, Grinch, Yertl the Turtle, and we have ensemble roles for a whole lot of Whos, jungle creatures and morermers.

For the music portion of the auditions please prepare a 90-second excerpt from any song you want, which you will sing a capella, so you don't even need to bring sheet music! For the acting portion of the auditions be prepared to cold read a scene with other auditioners if asked. If needed, more in-depth work will happen in callback auditions on April 30.

Seussical Partners with Freeport Community Programs
Freeport Community Programs is incorporating Seussical in their summer musical theater camp, June 27-July 14. Campers in this program will work on a scene or two from Seussical and be invited to join the cast of the Players' production in those scenes.
