The Sherman Playhouse Holds Casting Call for
Run for Your Wife
January 28 & 29
The Sherman Playhouse is seeking a cast of 3 women - ages 25 to 60 and 5 men – ages 20 to 60 – for the outrageous comedy RUN FOR YOUR WIFE by Ray Cooney.
RUN FOR YOUR WIFE is a fast paced farce, which could prove that no good deed goes unpunished. John appears to be an ordinary taxi driver that thwarts a mugging. His heroics bring the attention of the police and the press. The accolades that most would gladly accept terrify John because it threatens to reveal his double life. John is helped, sort of, by his well meaning neighbor Stanley in hiding the fact that he has two wives, two lives, and two apartments. Add in a "flamboyant" new neighbor, Bobby, a bunch of doors, and confusing hilarity follows as two policemen and his two wives close in on his secret.
