TAKE YOUR SINGING FROM THE SHOWER TO THE STAGE IN 2017
If you love singing, why not make 2017 the year you take your passion further and audition to join the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) Choir?
Auditions will be held at QPAC, South Bank, Cultural Precinct, Brisbane next week from Monday 23 January 2017 to Wednesday 25 January 2017.
Formed in 2008, the QPAC Choir is a contemporary community choir for adults aged 18 years and over.
Rehearsing on Monday evenings, the 160 voice QPAC Choir provides access to imaginative repertoire, challenging skill development, social opportunities and public performance.
The QPAC Choir is expertly led by composer and chorus conductor, Choirmaster Timothy Sherlock and choir members also have the opportunity to work with a range of other professional musicians throughout the year.
“It is wonderful to lead this enthusiastic and talented collection of singers. Each year the QPAC Choir builds on its strengths as we participate in a broad range of performance opportunities from community events to showcase concerts at QPAC. In recent years, the Choir has even recorded two of its own CDs. I warmly invite people who love to sing to come along and audition and be part of our exciting journey,” said Mr Sherlock.
The QPAC Choir is involved in a number of performances, and in 2017 these will include the QPAC Choir Showcase, a concert as part of the Queensland Music Festival (QMF)and QPAC’s iconic Spirit of Christmas concerts.

Where: Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Cultural Precinct, South Bank, Brisbane
Cost: Successful auditionees pay $120 per semester (total cost per year $240)
