Proof Description:
Catherine, a brilliant but distressed young woman, spent years caring for her father, Robert, a mathematical genius, who recently passed away after battling a severe mental illness. Following his death, Catherine’s estranged sister Claire arrives to help manage the estate, though she has been largely absent for most of Robert’s illness. To complicate things, Hal, a former student of Robert’s, believes Robert left behind invaluable work in the multitude of notebooks sprawled all over the house. As Catherine and Hal develop feelings for one another, and Catherine and Claire walk a thin line between sisters and enemies, a shocking discovery is made that has all three of them wondering: how much of Robert’s madness—or genius—did Catherine inherit?
