The Centenary Stage Company will hold local, open non-equity auditions for their holiday musical production of “Peter Pan” on Tuesday, Sept. 16th from 3 – 5p and 6 – 9p. No appointment necessary to audition.
Based on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale and featuring an unforgettable score by Morris “Moose” Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, PETER PAN is one of the most beloved family favorites of all time. CSC is seeking singers, dancers and actors for this production. Performers can elect to read from sides or perform a monologue. All auditionees should come prepared to move. All singers should bring 16 bars of a musical selection from the traditional musical theatre genre. An accompany pianist will be provided. Sides will be provided via e-mail prior to the audition. Currently all roles are open, with the exception of “Peter Pan” and “Captain Hook”. CSC is seeking a diverse company; ethnic performers are strongly encouraged to attend.
CSC is also seeking musicians for the Pit Orchestra. Interested musicians may submit a resume to the CSC box office.
Auditions will be held at the David and Carol Lackland Center located on the campus of Centenary College. The production will be directed and choreographed by Broadway veteran Michael Blevins and rehearsals begin in October. The play will be performed in the Sitnik Theater with an opening on November 28th and running through December 14th, with performances Wednesdays through Sundays.
