PANDORA PRODUCTIONS 2019-20 SEASON - Pandora Productions

Pandora Productions, Louisville’s only theatre company exclusively dedicated to telling the stories of the LGBTQ+ community, announces auditions for the 2019-2020 Season by appointment on Thursday, May 30th.

The ambitious season includes several regional premieres:

FUN HOME book + lyrics by Lisa Kron, music by Jeanine Tesori

CHOIR BOY by Tarell Alvin McCraney and

SOUTHERN COMFORT book + lyrics by Dan Collins, music by Julianne Wick Davis

as well as icons in the LGBTQ+ canon of theatre

TORCH SONG (2018 Revival) by Harvey Fierstein and

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES book by Harvey Fierstein, book + lyrics by Jerry Herman

Actors should prepare two contrasting monologues of no more than two minutes each and 16 bars of their best song if they wish to be considered for musicals. Singers should be prepared with a second song should they be asked for one. All roles are open to all ethnicities and we encourage all who have an interest in Pandora to audition. Casting will be done by the company’s Producing Artistic Director with the assistance of Guest Directors and Musical Directors for the season. Appointments can be made by emailing
info@pandoraprods.org to request an audition time. Actors are asked to bring a picture and resume. Callbacks will be held at various times for the various productions in the weeks following the open call.

Michael J. Drury, Pandora Productions Producing Artistic Director,has worked as a professional actor for 30+ years throughout the Midwest and is no stranger to Louisville area audiences having appeared with Stage One: Louisville's Children's Theatre, Derby Dinner Playhouse, Music Theatre Louisville, CenterStage, Theatre [502] and the Stephen Foster Drama Association, with whom he also toured Japan and was chosen to remake the official cast recording. He has directed numerous productions at Derby Dinner Playhouse, CenterStage, Louisville Repertory Company, Clarksville Little Theatre and the Shelby County Community Theatre, in addition to adjudicating at theatre festivals including The Kentucky Theatre Association and The Southeastern Theatre Conference and teaching ArtsShops for GSA.
