OCEAN STATE THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES
AUDITIONS FOR NEW OSTEENCO
Ocean State Theatre Company is proud to announce Open Auditions for its new OSTeenCo program, which will provide an opportunity for teen actors to benefit from a professional theatre experience, culminating in the performance of two productions, which are part of OSTC’s 2014-15 Family Fun Fest. This season’s OSTC4Kids productions are the musical Freckleface Strawberry scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2015 and the comedy The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2015. Both shows will be performed at Ocean State Theatre in Warwick at 11:00 am. Needed are seven to twelve performers (male and female) between the ages of 14-19 years old, at the time of the audition.
Selected performers will need to be available for evening and weekend rehearsals and performances from January 3 through May 23, 2015. Selected performers will also need to be available for technical rehearsals and/or public performances to be scheduled during the day on Thursday, March 5, Friday, March 6,Thursday, May 21 and Friday, May 22, 2015. A complete calendar will be available at the audition.
Auditions will be held on Tuesday, December 9 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at:

Those auditioning should enter through the main lobby doors and bring their headshot or a recent photo and resume (if available). Actors should come with a short prepared song with sheet music from a contemporary musical (no Jason Robert Brown, please). No a cappella, tape recorders or CD players. Accompanist will be provided. Those asked to stay may learn a short dance combination and/or be asked to do cold readings from the script. Please bring or wear appropriate shoes for dancing. Sign-ups will begin at 5:30 pm. Those intending to audition MUST BE SIGNED UP PRIOR TO7:30 pm.
