Description: Princess Cruises seeks experienced singers, technically?trained dancers, and a seasoned magician for their new production: MAGIC TO DO, a New Magical Musical by Stephen Schwartz. Please bring a copy of current resume and headshot to audition. NO CRUISE STAFF DUTIES. Onboard accommodation and food provided. Cruising Caribbean, Mexico, and Hawaii. Auditions to be scheduled in Toronto, Vancouver, and Los Angeles in the near future. The first production under Stephen Schwartz’s new partnership with Princess Cruises will be created by: Gabriel Barre - Director Mark Hartman - Musical Director Jennifer Paulson-Lee - Choreographer Contract Begins: June 2015 - travel to Los Angeles, CA Board Ship: August 2015 - West Coast Contract Length: 6 months Singers: -Substantial professional experience required -Must move well -Male 1: plays 25-30; Low C to High A -Male 2: plays 35-45; Low A to High G -Female 1: plays 25-30; Middle C to (Soprano) High A -Female 2: plays 35-45; Low G to High D (belt) Dancers: -Must have strong technical training, including tap, and outgoing personalities -Experience with magic, circus acts, juggling, mime and puppetry desirable Magician: -Play 25-45 -Capable of sleight of hand techniques -Some experience with large illusions desirable -Singing not required -Email for appointment time, princesscruisesnycaud@gmail.com Job Start Date: 5/31/2015 Union Information: Non-Union Company: Princess Cruises Audition Information When: Monday, March 16 - 10am: Male and Female Singers Open Call Monday, March 16 - 2:30pm: Female Dancers Open Call Tuesday, March 17 - 10am: Male Dancer Open Call Tuesday, March 17 - 2pm: Male and Female Singers Open Call Tuesday, March 17 - 4pm: Callbacks for Singers and Dancers Where: Ripley Grier Studios 520 8th Ave. Rm. 16E New York, NY 10018 What to Prepare: Singers should prepare 16 bars of one uptempo and one ballad of pop or Broadway material. Accompanist will be provided for singers. Playback from mp3 line (iPod) also available. Singer callbacks will require applicants to learn basic choreography. Dancers will be taught a ballet/jazz combination. Bring appropriate dancewear, including tap shoes. Dancers should prepare 16 bars of uptempo or ballad for callbacks. Magicians prepare two routines of 'parlour' magic. All magicians email for appointment times.
