The Liminal Theatre Collective
29-Hour Reading of Hayati - Audition Breakdown
The Liminal Theatre Collective (TLTC), a New York City-based ensemble of multidisciplinary artists dedicated to developing and producing new and reimagined works by artists of color, is thrilled to announce auditions for our inaugural First Draft Series, a 29-hour reading of Hayati, a new play by Leah Mijalski-Fahim, directed by The Liminal Theatre Collective’s Founding Artistic Director, Azudi Onyejekwe.
TLTC's First Draft Series offers a space for feedback, refinement, growth, and collaboration for emerging multicultural theatremakers. Our First Draft Series is a program designed to support new works in their earliest stages of development.
Synopsis: Over the course of a dinner, three generations of the Wahid family sit for their weekly reunion at an Arabic restaurant. While the night starts casually, it progresses into something out of the ordinary. Nothing can be swept under the rug and kept there forever.
