The Wayne Theatre will hold auditions for the Lerner & Loewe classic musical MY FAIR LADY on August 27 of 2017. All parts are open. Audition Date: August 27 1pm - 6pm Show Dates November 9-12 and 16-19 8 performances Please prepare a 24 bar cut of a song Accompanist will be provided There will be a dance audition so please dress comfortably Please plan to be there entire time Doors open at 12:30 for sign in . Directed by Hank Fitzgerald Produced by The Wayne Theatre Characters ELIZA DOOLITTLE – A cockney flower girl working outside Covent Garden. Her potential to become a lady becomes the object of a bet between Higgins and Pickering. Soprano (Middle C to high G). Age 20-30 HENRY HIGGINS – British, upper class professional bachelor, world famous phonetics expert, demanding teacher and author of Higgins Universal Alphabet. Baritone. Age 45-55 COLONEL PICKERING – Retired British officer and author of Spoken Sanskrit. A bit doddery, but quite friendly to both Eliza and Higgins. Baritone. Age 40-60 FREDDY EYNSFORD-HILL – Upper class young man who becomes smitten with Eliza. Tenor/Baritone. Age 20-30 ALFRED P. DOOLITTLE – Eliza’s father, a vigorous dustman, a comic role. Baritone. Age 40-60 MRS. HIGGINS – Henry Higgins’ long-suffering mother. Age 50-70 MRS. PEARCE – Henry Higgins’ housekeeper. Alto/Mezzo. Age 40-60 HARRY – Drinking companion of Alfred Doolittle. Bass/Baritone. Age 20-40 JAMIE – Drinking companion of Alfred Doolittle. Tenor. Age 20-40 ZOLTAN KARPATHY – Hungarian linguistics expert, rival of Henry Higgins. Age 30 LORD and LADY BOXINGTON; MRS. EYSFORD-HILL; THE QUEEN OF TRANSYLVANIA; DR. THEMISTOCLES STEPHANOS; THE AMBASSADOR and HIS WIFE The Singing/Dancing Ensemble: Servants, Flower Girls, Bar Patrons, Buskers, Market Vendors, Patrons, Bystanders, Ascot Race Patrons, Embassy Ball Guests, Covent Garden Crowd, Tottenham Court Crowd, etc. All vocal ranges.
