SYNOPSIS
In the Realm of Gaia, Isaac, an unlikely hero, embarks on a perilous quest to recover the stolen Eye of Gaia, joined by his secret lover and a diverse group of companions. As shifting genres transform the journey into a meta-commentary on storytelling, Isaac discovers that true heroism lies in shaping one's own narrative and confronting destiny on his own terms.

CHARCTER BREAKDOWN
Isaac (he/him, 24)
The Hero (of Realms.) He is sensitive and introspective, grappling with self-doubt and the immense expectations placed upon him. He has a deep empathy for others and a quiet strength that grows as he learns to believe in himself. A hero of heroes, Isaac may not be what the kingdom wants, but might just be what they need to survive. **THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST**
Andreous [on-dray-us](he/him, 26)
The Prince. Charismatic, sharp-tongued, and overly-confident. Isaac's secret boyfriend. Living under his father's shadow has made him fiercely spiteful, and his wit and charm often mask a deep desire for acceptance and love.
Scarlet (she/her, 30)
The Knight. A captain of the royal guard. The tactical and logical mind of the group. Grounded in her beliefs, she ultimately wants what is best for the kingdom. Her hard guarded demeanor hides her secret longing for safety and stability. **THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST**
Xeldier [zel-dee-er](he/him, 28)
The Explorer. An adventurous preservationist from the Kingdom of Life, and older brother to Oliwia. Wields an eternal logging for greater meaning. He thrives on discovery, exploration, and mystery. His playful charisma and eagerness for friendship make him a wonderful companion (and tempting courter).
Oliwia [olivia] (she/her, 26)
The Witch. A magical preservationist from the Kingdom of Life, and Xeldier's younger sister. She is a skilled and resourceful magic user with a sharp wit. Just as sarcastic as she is kind. She uses her cunning and deep understanding of the forest to aid the group while protecting what she holds dear.
Supporting Characters
King Elderin [el-drin] (he/him, 60's) An authoritative (and often geriatric) ruler and father to Andreous. Husband of Queen Plythmia. His harsh demeanor hides a fear of losing control, both as a father and as a king. He struggles to reconcile tradition with the changes around him.
Queen Plythmia [plith-mee-uh] (she/her, 60's)
A sharp-witted and compassionate queen. Mother of Andreous and wife of King Elderin. Wise and trusting of the new voices of the youth. She often serves as the voice of reason, advocating for empathy and forgiveness over rigid policy. **THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST**
The Narrators (any pronouns)
A mismatched trio who guide the audience through the story while commenting on storytelling itself. Each narrator brings a unique take on storytelling:
Narrator 1: Prefers classic storytelling tropes and structure.
Narrator 2: The surprise antagonist of the story. Advocates for breaking conventions and modernizing narratives. Secretly longs for a story of their own.
Narrator 3: Is hesitant to change, but is willing to try to learn new forms of storytelling.
Time Commitment:
All rehearsals and performances will take place during the week of April 13th.
At this time we cannot pay our actors. However, we are also looking to record the reading which will be released via Apple Podcasts and Spotify. All actors will get a copy of the radio play for a voice reel or for their own use.
