MADISON LYRIC STAGE ANNOUNCES 2020 SEASON AUDITIONS
Madison Lyric Stage, a professional company entering its ninth season serving the Connecticut Shoreline, will hold auditions for its 2020 season on Saturday, January 4 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 5 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in Madison, CT.
The company is looking for singers and actors for its planned productions of: a double bill of Puccini’s opera Suor Angelica and Schoenberg’s monodrama Erwartung in March/April, Mart Crowley’s landmark play The Boys in the Band in July, and the Stephen Sondheim/Hugh Wheeler masterpiece musical Sweeney Todd in October.
All productions will be directed by Marc Deaton, and take place at the historic Deacon John Grave House in Madison in an immersive setting.
Most roles are still open, ranging from leading to ensemble and understudy, including an emerging artist program. Diversity of age, gender and ethnicity are of paramount importance.
Compensation is available for some non-union performers depending on experience. An Equity Special Appearance contract may be available for certain roles.

Please prepare a song or aria, and/or a one-two minute monologue. Selections from planned shows are welcome. If you are auditioning for more than one genre, you may have two musical selections. An accompanist will be provided.
