HERSHEYPARK SUMMER RESIDENT SHOWS - Hersheypark

Hersheypark is looking for talented, motivated, and passionate performers, technicians, and musicians with a strong desire to work hard and provide a memorable experience for guests. The 2020 resident entertainment will be produced by Hersheypark Entertainment in partnership with RWS Entertainment Group and Windish Music and Productions.

The Hersheypark Entertainment Department will hold auditions and technician interviews at the Hershey Theatre (15 E. Caracas Avenue, Hershey, Pennsylvania) on Saturday, February 15, 2020. All production companies involved in casting shows will be in attendance.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and/or a high school graduate by the start of rehearsals, which begin in early to mid-May. Contracts run through end of August. This contract will require employees to work six days per week and will not allow for personal time off.

Performers/Musicians: Starting at $540/week. Technicians: Starting at $515/week depending on position and experience. Non-Union. Housing can be arranged for those who are not local to Hershey, PA.

Seeking the following for the 2020 Summer Season:

Singers and Singer/Dancers

Singer/Dancers must register as EITHER a singer OR a dancer. Choose your strongest talent and register accordingly. Singers should prepare two vocal selections of contrasting styles (16 bars each). Please bring sheet music in the proper key or an edited musical track on a CD. An accompanist will be provided. Singers may be called back to learn a dance combination after the vocal audition, and dancers may be asked to sing. However, not all singers will be asked to dance.

Dancers and Dancer/Singers

Dancers/Singers must register as EITHER a singer OR a dancer. Choose your strongest talent and register accordingly. Dancers should be prepared to learn several dance combinations. Please wear appropriate dance attire and shoes (character heels and flats for women). Some may be asked to sing after the dance call. Please see Singers description for preparation. However, not all will be asked to sing.

Specialty Performers and Character Actors

Be prepared to demonstrate a comedic monologue and exhibit improvisational skills. Please note specialty skills on your registration for such as juggling, clowning, stilt walking, sleight of hand magic tricks, and more.

Musicians

Musicians should prepare technical and lyrical excerpts and be prepared to demonstrate improvisational skills. A drum set, keyboard, guitar amp, and bass amp will be provided. Please bring all other instruments/equipment to your audition such as Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Tuba, Multi-Percussion, Guitar, and Bass. Visit

Technicians

Hersheypark hires Stage Managers, Stagehands, Audio Technicians, Dressers, Lighting Technicians, and Wardrobe Supervisors. All technicians should prepare for an interview with a resume and cover letter stating qualifications.
