About Bonnie & Clyde – Musical – Directed by Rob Winn Anderson
Performances: September 9 – October 2, 2016
At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes and the Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless, and alluring, the Tony-nominated
Bonnie & Clyde from the legendary Frank Wildhorn (
Jekyll and Hyde, Civil War, Dracula) is the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire country.
About The Glass Menagerie – Drama – Directed by Beth Marshall
Performances: October 21 – November 6, 2016
The Glass Menagerie tells the story of the Wingfield family, comprised of faded Southern belle Amanda (the matriarch) and her two children, Tom and Laura. Tom is a restless dreamer frustratingly tethered to home, while Laura is a shy, crippled girl who spends her time admiring her collection of glass animals in lieu of social interaction. The play’s action is motivated by Amanda’s urging of Tom to bring home a gentleman caller for Laura, despite Laura’s timidity and Tom’s desire to get out from under his mother’s domineering hand.
About A Charlie Brown Christmas – Play with Music – Directed by Keith Smith
Performances: December 2 – 18, 2016
When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas fir tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to learn what the real meaning of Christmas is.
About The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee – Musical – Directed by Kenny Howard
Performances: February 3 – 26, 2017
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of challenging and off-the-wall words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming ding of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
About Destiny of Desire – Play with Music – Directed by Melissa Crespo
Performances: March 17 – April 9, 2017
On a stormy night in Bellarica, Mexico, two baby girls are born — one into a life of privilege and one into a life of poverty. When the newborns are swapped by a former beauty queen with an insatiable lust for power, the stage is set for two outrageous misfortunes to grow into one remarkable destiny. “A writer of comedic skill” (Variety), Helen Hayes Award-winning playwright Karen Zacarías (The Book Club Play) infuses the Latin American telenovela genre with music, high drama and burning passion to make for a fast-paced modern comedy.
About Into the Woods – Musical – Directed by Steve MacKinnon
Performances: April 28 – May 28, 2017
When a baker and his wife learn they've been cursed with childlessness by the witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, by swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Jack. Everyone's wish is granted at the end of Act One but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results. A Giant steps down from the heavens and straight upon some beloved characters. It takes a few lives before the survivors realize that they have to act all together in order to succeed. Thus, what begins a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.
