MILLBROOK PLAYHOUSE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR THE 2016 YOUTH ENSEMBLE’S PRODUCTION OF ELF THE MUSICAL Jr.
Millbrook Playhouse will be holding open auditions for the Millbrook Playhouse Youth Ensemble’s Production of Elf the Musical Jr. on Saturday October 22, from 10:00am - 12:00pm at the Millbrook Playhouse 258 Country Club Lane, Mill Hall PA.
Interested students should prepare a song of their choosing, they may be asked to read from the script. If unable to attend this audition you can email
millbrookcasting@gmail.com. A later audition date may be scheduled. Rehearsals will be held weekends starting mid-November and weekdays the two weeks prior to opening. There will be a one-time $50.00 membership fee for all participants. The fee goes towards covering rental of the theatre, show royalties and advertising. Elf the Musical Jr. is based on the cherished New Line Cinema hit, Elf JR. features songs by Tony Award-nominees, Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, with a book by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin. Elf the Musical Jr. tells the story of Buddy, a young would-be elf who is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity.
Elf the Musical Jr. will be performed on Friday, December 16 at 7:00pm, Saturday, December 17 at 5:00pm and 8:00pm and Sunday, December 18 at 2:00pm at the Sloan Fine Arts Center on the Lock Haven University campus. The Production will be directed by Artistic Associate, Matt Spencer.
