Kentwood Players announces open auditions for
DANGEROUS OBSESSION

At the Westchester Playhouse
Kentwood Players will hold open auditions for DANGEROUS OBSESSION by N.J. Crisp, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm and Sunday, July 15 from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Callbacks will be held on Monday, July 16 by appointment only. This is a non-equity, non-paid production directed by Kathy Dershimer and produced by Jenny Boone for Kentwood Players with rights secured from Samuel French, Inc.
Performance dates are September 7 through October 13, 2018 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Auditions and performances take place at the Westchester Playhouse, located at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045.
DANGEROUS OBSESSION takes place on a sunny afternoon in the Home Counties. Sally Driscoll is watering her plants in the conservatory of her luxurious home. Suddenly, John Barrett appears at the door. Sally does not recognize John, but it seems that the Driscolls and the Barretts have met before. After Sally’s husband, Mark, arrives it becomes apparent that someone has a very dangerous obsession. Audiences will twist and turn with the plot in this psychological thriller.
Those auditioning should read the play before auditioning to become familiar with the characters. Please allow time to sign-in and complete paperwork during scheduled audition times. Please bring a current headshot and resume as well as your calendar as a rehearsal schedule will be posted at auditions and you will be asked to note any conflicts. Character Breakdown
Sally Driscoll 30-45
Striking woman with attractive figure, self-absorbed, concerned with keeping up appearances with herself, her home, and her social interactions. Expects the world to meet her expectations
John Barrett 30-45
Gives the impression of being mild, rather ordinary, self-deprecating - but with the ability of assuming other expressions - which can be dangerous/threatening. Deliberate in thought and action
Mark Driscoll 30-45
Good-looking, out-going, exudes success. Self-important, dismissive of those around him, impatient. Used to being in control.
British accent desired
