Open Call for Youth Actors

The Gateway, Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County, is holding an open audition for its upcoming main-stage holiday show, Beauty and the Beast. This open call will be held onFriday, November 15th , 2013 from 3pm-7pm. Auditions will be held at Gateway Playhouse, located at 215 South Country Road, Bellport, NY. Sign-ups begin at 3 PM and will be closed at 4 PM. Please prepare 32 bars of a Disney or contemporary musical theatre pop song in the style of the show. BRING SHEET MUSIC. ACCOMPANIST PROVIDED. Please avoid singing a cappella. Please bring a headshot with stapled resume attached. If no resume, please bring a list of pertinent information.
Seeking student actors for the following positions:
ENSEMBLE: Seeking versatile teen actors of various vocal ranges and type, ages 13-18, for ensemble positions. Movement and/or dancing skills a plus.
CHIP: Seeking young male actors age 10-14 for the role of Chip. Actor must be no more than 48 inches tall. Must sing well.
Must be available for performance dates: December 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29
***Rehearsals begin December 2nd and run through December 13th. Performances run Dec. 13th-29th.
All rehearsals take place in Bellport and performances take place at the PATCHOGUE THEATRE.
***Technical rehearsals may run as late as midnight on December 10, 11, and 12.
