Auditions will be held in thirty minute time slots. Actors should prepare a contemporary monologue no longer than 3 minutes. Each actor will have a five-minute audition with the director within the half-hour timeslot on a first-come, first-seen basis. Walk-ups will be seen on a first-come, first-seen basis only after all auditioners for the timeslot have been seen. Actors will be paid a one-time stipend with the possibility of a bonus based on grosses.
MILWAUKEE PREMIERE
Written by Leslye Headland as part of her Seven Deadly Sins play cycle, BACHELORETTE is a dark, raunchy comedy about three troubled women who reunite for the wedding of a high school “friend” at a wild party in a luxurious hotel suite the eve of a swanky Manhattan wedding (think Mean Girls meets The Hangover). Bitingly funny, yet bitterly sad, BACHELORETTE serves up a slice of social commentary on mean-girl malice, modern fanatical wedding culture, and an age of excess where moderation is a four-letter word. BACHELORETTE will be directed by
Mark Boergers, Artistic Director and co-founder of
The Arc Theatre in Chicago and Artistic Director and Associate Professor of Theater at Cardinal Stritch University.
