Annapolis Shakespeare Company invites submissions for our 2018-2019 Season including ASC's Main Stage, Concert and Cabaret Series and Play Readings. All roles paid. AEA and non-AEA contracts available.
ASC is seeking professional, classically trained actors and experienced musical theatre professionals (Actor/Singers and Actor/Singer/Dancers) for our 2018-2019 season including our Concert and Cabaret Series (see production list below). Please submit a headshot and resume to casting@annapolisshakespeare.org. Please no phone calls. Those invited to audition will be assigned an audition slot and be asked to present the following:
ACTORS: two contrasting classical monologues (at least one should be in verse).
SINGERS: prepare three varied-style selections of musical theatre repertoire. Bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
CABARET SINGERS: prepare three selections of varied styles from theatre, popular and classical music and should be skilled at part singing. Bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Cabaret Singers should also prepare a 30-60 second personal introduction.
DANCERS: there will be a callback at a later date for actors/singers who dance.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, July 1 from 6pm-10pm and Monday, July 2 from 12pm-5pm. Please note, a submission and appointment is necessary. We will not be able to see walk-ins.
The audition appointments will be held at ASC's theatre located at 1804 West Street, Suite 200, Annapolis, MD 21401. In attendance will be the directors, choreographer and musical director for the season.
