AUDITIONS FOR ARSENIC AND OLD LACE BY JOSEPH KESSELRING April 2 & 3
Auditions are being held for Arsenic and Old Lace, that wonderful classic comedy by Joseph Kesselring and to be directed by Stephanie Jackson, on Sunday, April 2 from 10 am - 1 pm and Monday evening, April 3 from 7-10 pm. There are roles available for 3 women ages 20s-70's and 11 men ages 20's-70's. Auditions will be cold readings from the script and will be held at the theater, 5400 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 119, in Mockingbird Central Plaza, one block east of Central Expressway, across from Mockingbird Station DART rail center. Arsenic and Old Lace will run Thursday through Sunday evenings, May 19 through June 17. Rehearsals will begin immediately following casting.
Enjoy the hilarity of this timeless comedy all about the crazy Brewster family. Mortimer Brewster, about to announce his engagement, to the preacher's daughter, may be the only sane member of this group. Abby and Martha, his spinster aunts, are helping lonely old gentlemen to their heavenly rewards, while his brother, Teddy Roosevelt, digs the Panama Canal and brother Jonathan has been turned into a Frankenstein look-a-like. Beware the elderberry wine!
Actors are paid a stipend (theater talk for not very much, but you'll have the time of your life!) To schedule an appointment call We are The Most Fun You Can Have In A Dallas Theatre, and have been since 1980. |
