August 26 & 28, 6:00pm-9:00pm

Director Jay Stewart is holding auditions for Annie, our holiday musical.


Come prepared to sing a song from Annie or a show tune (any show -- bring sheet music!) -- from memory. Be prepared to move and to read from the script. Auditions will be painless, quick, and fun!

All are welcome -- age ranges, esp for adult roles, are flexible.

Audition Dates:
August 26, 6:00-9:00pm in the Main Theater
August 28, 6:00-9:00pm in the Annex
Callbacks August 31 in the Art Studio.

Show Dates:
November 20 - December 21, 2014
Thursday and Friday - 7:00pm
Saturday - 5:00pm
Sunday - 2:00pm

Roles:

Annie-- 11 to 14 years old (young looking)

8 Orphans-- young girls from 8 to 14 years

Miss Hannigan-- 35 to 55 years

Daddy Warbucks-- 40 to 55 years (preferably bald or willing to shave)

Rooster Hannigan-- 30 to 40 years

Lily St. Regis-- 25 to 35 years

Grace Farrell-- 30 to 40 years

Drake-- 40 to 50 years

Bert Healy-- 30 to 45 years -- can also be part of Ensemble Men

Franklin Delano Roosevelt-- 40 to 50 years-- can also be part of Ensemble Men

3 Boylan Sisters-- 20 to 30 years (singers)--can also be part of Ensemble Women

6 Ensemble Men-- to perform multiple supporting roles, age ranges from 30 to 45

6 Ensemble Women-- to perform multiple supporting roles, ages 20 to 45

About the Director:

Jay Stewart has had the opportunity to write, direct and perform for some of the biggest Family Entertainment companies in America, including Walt Disney World, The NY Goofs, The Big Apple Circus, Circus Smirkus, and Feld Inc., the producers of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey--The Greatest Show on Earth! On Cape Cod, Jay has been pleased to direct and consult on many productions for the Harwich Junior Theatre, directing The Jungle Book, The Adventures of a Bear Called Paddington, and staging his original, one man show, Elvis: The King and Me. Jay is thrilled to be asked to take the helm of Annie for his debut show at Cotuit Center for the Arts this fall, and looks forward to lots of Leaping Lizards!
