AUDITIONS

For

Our 2017-18 Season Production of

Almost, Maine

If you have not been cast in a CPM show before - Please bring a photograph of yourself to attach to your audition. This does NOT need to be a formal headshot. Any size photo will work.

PLEASE NOTE: This show is auditioning students age 12 - 18, if age 18, you must still be in high school. (Younger than 12 must get permission from the Director to audition.)

We ask that you list all conflicts that you have between September 26 and October 27 on your audition form.

PLEASE NOTE:

Conflicts during Tech Week (October 21 - 27) will affect casting decisions. We prefer no conflicts during this week.

Rehearsals are normally three weeknights from 6:30 to 9:00pm and 12:00 to 6:00pm on Saturdays, exceptOct 21 - 27 when they will be 12:00 to 6:00pm on Sat. and Sun. and weeknights from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

(You need to be signed in by 8:30pm in order to audition. Each audition group will take about 30 minutes.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

Almost, Maine is a non-musical. You will be given a reading from the script and time to review it before you are called on to audition.

Synopsis

Almost, Maine is a
play by
John Cariani, comprising nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine. There are eleven short scenes: the Prologue (which continues in the Interlogue and Epilogue), Her Heart, Sad and Glad, This Hurts, Getting It Back, They Fell, Where It Went, Story of Hope, and Seeing the Thing.

Please note: Almost, Maine includes a dialogue scene with a same sex couple.
