THEATREWORKS FLORIDA ANNOUNCES CHILDREN AUDITIONS FOR
“ALL TOGETHER NOW!” - A GLOBAL THEATRE EVENT!

TheatreWorks Florida is thrilled to announce they will be producing their first ever major fundraiser in 14 years of the company at Balmoral Event Center this coming Fall! The Event Center is located at 116 Kenny Blvd., Haines City, FL 33844. Music Theatre International (MTI), the most prestigious show licensing company in the world, has created a major worldwide celebration called “All Together Now! - A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre. It is their response to the COVID-19 pandemic and a way to bring all theatres together from around the world to produce and perform an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI's beloved shows while raising much needed funds to recover from theatre shutdowns during the pandemic. Everyone, everywhere will be producing the show at the exact same time (Nov 12-15, 2021). As of July 14, 2021, 2800+ productions are preparing for show in over 34 countries! The absolute best part: Music Theatre International has made this glorious show entirely free-of-charge to license with no royalty or rental fees to all theatre companies! TheatreWorks Florida approached Garrett Kenny, owner of Balmoral Event Center, about this fantastic community opportunity and he graciously donated Balmoral Event Center for 2 days with full administrative & waiter staff. The Event Center will also provide cash concessions and full bar during shows. Right then and there, TheatreWorks Florida proudly handed Balmoral Event Center the Show Presenter credit of TWF's version of “All Together Now!”.
This musical revue features 15 slots for musical performances with 2-3 song options per slot, so theatres have flexibility with how they present the show. Music Theatre International is also providing show logos, musical score, orchestration backing tracks and all of their show resources absolutely free! Songs included in the musical revue include: Be Our Guest from Beauty & The Beast, Tomorrow from Annie, Take A Chance on Me from Mamma Mia, Supercalifragilistic from Mary Poppins, Let It Go from Frozen and You Can’t Stop the Beat from Hairspray.
The show cast will include past and present TWF cast members as well as 5 local ‘child stars’. There will be an audition to cast the 5 children on Sun August 1, 2021 beginning at 2PM. Children auditioning will need to bring 1-2 pieces of their own music. A pianist will be provided to play for them. They will sing their song first. If asked to stay that same day for a callback, they will sing music from the score of “All Together Now!” plus learn a short dance combination. Children auditioning are asked to bring a headshot, current resume of any theatre or school productions they have been in and to dress comfortably in case they stay to dance. TheatreWorks Florida’s All Together Now! will be directed by Scott A. Cook, the Artistic Producer of TheatreWorks Florida. TheatreWorks Florida has brought exciting and colorful productions to the Central Florida stage in the past, including Nunsense 2: The Second Coming (2019), The Great American Trailer Park Musical (2018), The Marvelous Wonderettes (2017), Rock Of Ages (2016 – Central FL regional premiere), Hands On A Hardbody (2016 – Central FL regional premiere), Schoolhouse Rock Live! (2015 Tour – National Endowment for The Arts), Sweeney Todd (2014 – winner of Best Set, Best Musical Direction and Best Lead Actress in A Musical; BroadwayWorld Orlando 2014), Nunsense (2013), and Legally Blonde: The Musical (2012 - Central FL regional premiere; winner of Best Musical; BroadwayWorld Orlando 2012). Cook has developed show designs and concepts for companies such as Universal Studios Florida and the Walt Disney World Company, and won numerous producers’ honors including the Pierrots Award, Best Musical for Cats at Theatre Winter Haven (Winter Haven, FL) in 2006 and multiple awards at the Orlando Fringe Festival including Best In Fest 2010 & 2012 for The Great American Trailer Park Musical and Little Shop of Horrors, respectively.
