A CHRISTMAS CARMELLA - Theatre Works
Theatre Works announces auditions for
A CHRISTMAS CARMELLA
another new play by Frank O'Donnell!

Theatre Works is proud to announce open auditions for the second show of its 31st season - Frank O'Donnell's A Christmas Carmella.

The show, which will open December 6, is a spin-off of the two popular ANT'NY CLAUS shows written by O'Donnell and presented by Theatre Works in 2011 and 2012. In this one, Carmella (Ant'ny Claus' mother-in-law) is asked to tell her grandkids the classic A Christmas Carol - but because she gave the book away, she's forced to tell it from memory, with some interesting twists. This isn't your Grandma's Christmas Carol - but you'll wish it were.

Most roles are open, and auditioners will be asked to do cold readings from the script. Frank O'Donnell, who co-directed the first two shows, will direct this new show.

Needed:

  • four teenagers (male or female);
  • eight 20- to 30-year-old actors (male or female); and
  • ten 30- to 60-year-old actors (male or female).

Depending on turnout, some actors could be cast in multiple roles.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, October 6 at 6:30PM and Tuesday, October 8 at 7PM at Theatre Works. No appointment is necessary.
Run dates are Friday, December 6, Saturday, December 7, Sunday, December 8, Friday, December 13, Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15.

Theatre Works can be found in the Masonic Temple at 142 Clinton Street in Woonsocket. Further information can be found at www.twri.org. For audition questions, contact Frank O'Donnell at
