Calling Outstanding Performers of ALL types for a one-of-a-kind holiday season project: Winter Wondergram! Artists will be PAID. All work can be done from the comfort of your home. Project is a fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and two other not-for-profit arts organizations.
You name it, we’ll consider it! We are open to having actors, singers, instrumentalists, rappers, drag queens, opera singers, dancers, musicians, jugglers, etc. We are specifically seeking people who are experts at their performing craft and have big personalities to match! We are also open to applications from performing duos/groups if group performers are roommates or live under one roof (can be in space together and on camera without concern for social distancing).
Artists of all types - all races, ethnicities, gender identities, abilities, creeds, ages etc. welcome to apply. You may be in any geographic location and still be considered. You must be able to speak and understand English.
You must meet some minimum technical requirements including quality home internet connection and you must have a quality camera to film yourself (smart phone camera likely acceptable).
Ultimately seeking a “cast” of about 10-15 talented people. Applications open to professional and non-professional artists.
We are specifically seeking people to portray “holiday characters” of all types that can be marketed to the public, so it is helpful if your chosen character represents the season and has a familiar feel to it.
While we aim to hire an eclectic group of performers, we are also aware that one role we’d like to fill is Santa Clause. For this specific role it will be helpful to have physical and personality attributes convincing of this character. We may be interested in casting multiple people in this role (Santa Clause) to represent different ethnicities and races, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re jolly and Santa-like!
This is a special holiday-themed project that will require a few to several hours of work each week throughout November and December. If hired, all activities take place from the comfort of your own home and (for the most part) on your own schedule. You will receive professional level creative direction, costume assistance, and technical support. Social distancing will not be a problem as no in-person contact is required. Pay will be commiserate with amount of time you put into the project.
Lucky chosen artists will have the artistic support of an award winning Professional Theater Director, Costume Consultant, Music Consultant, and Scenic Designer.
Producers: Holly Weis and Heather Benveniste
