Purpose of Position: Serve as both an adult responsible for performers’ safety, and provide practical and organizational support for the costuming of the production.
Responsible For:
Getting costumes ready for the performance.
Assisting cast members with costume changes backstage
Maintaining and repairing costumes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Basic sewing skills.
The ability to iron and wash clothes and clean shoes.
The ability to work under minimum supervision and adapt work in accordance with performance requirements.
The ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to build respectful rapport with young actors and work with other theatre staff.

Duties:
Assist the actors in performances with their costumes, including quick changes.
Set out every part of each costume including accessories in the dressing rooms and other parts of the Theatre where costume changes are to occur.
Attend technical, dress, and costume understudy rehearsals for the purpose of observing and learning dressing tracks, and to be available to the actor/actors allocated to them on or off stage as appropriate.
Deal with emergency repairs to costumes.
Help actors to change at the end of performance, and to hang up their costumes, returning appropriate costumes and laundry to the wardrobe team.
Ensure that work materials, all costumes, and the dressing rooms in which they work are kept in a tidy, and secure manner.
Report any losses and unsafe practices in dressing rooms.
Ensure that security, safety, and good housekeeping procedures are properly carried out.
Comply with health, safety, and other policies at all times.
If hired, you must attend a training session prior to employment. Training session will be held at Ignite Theatre Company’s office. This training session is mandatory. Scheduling will be discussed and contracted based on both parties' availability.
Time requirement
Participation in mutually agreeable production meetings with the production team throughout the production process.
Tech rehearsals & performances are mandatory.

PART 2:
Interviews will be held by invitation only.
Final Selection: Based on the combination of your vision for the script and interview, the executive staff may choose to recommend you to fill a creative role in our 2022 season. Final decisions or offers cannot be made until the Board gives its approval. We will try to let directors know, as we move along, the status of their proposals.
