Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors - Seeking Performers 14-21 - Scratch Theater Company

Scratch Theater Company is super excited for you to audition for our inaugural production Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors! Please only apply if you are able to attend dress week/performances, and you are between the ages of 14-21.



All actors will play multiple roles (both male and female identifying). This production is a large commitment. We plan to have lots of fun, but also to put on a professional-level production. If you are chosen for the company, you will be required to sign a contract. There will be no understudies for this production.



AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

- Fill out all information in the following sections.

- Submit a self tape which includes:

- Slate

- 2, 45-second to 1-minute comedic monologues in the style of the show, showcasing two distinctly different characters. We are looking for performers with great comedic skills, big physical comedy and the ability to play multiple distinct characters.

- Electronic photo/headshot.

Early May - Company Meeting - Date TBD

6/11-7/21 - Rehearsals (3 times per week) - 3 Hours (Time TBD)

6/26 - Pick Up Day - 3 Hours (Time TBD)

7/14-7/25 - Run Days/Dry Tech Rehearsals (Monday-Friday) - 3 Hours (Time TBD)

7/27-7/28 - Tech Rehearsals - 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM

7/29-7/30 - Dress Rehearsals - 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM

7/31-8/1 - Performances - 4:00 PM to approximately 10:00 PM

8/2 - Performances/Load Out - 12:00 PM to approximately 12:00 AM



All rehearsals will be held within the Keller area until July 27, when rehearsals will be held at the Lewisville Grand Theater. Changes will be communicated at least three weeks in advance. Rehearsals are subject to end early or late depending on production progress.



Show times are 7:00 PM from 7/31 to 8/2. There will be a 2:00 PM matinee on 8/2. Performances, tech rehearsals and dress rehearsals take place at the Lewisville Grand Theater.

Actor Two - Dr. Westfeldt*/Renfield/Captain

Actor Three - Lucy*/Kitty/Driver

Actor Four - Mina*/Van Helsing

Actor Five - Dracula*/Minister



*Each actor will have one "main" role in the production.



Scratch Theater Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit company. Participating company members will not be paid, but service hours may be requested.
