Graphic Designer - Stay True, An LGBTQ+ Theatre Company

Stay True, An LGBTQ+ Theatre Company is searching for a GRAPHIC DESIGNER to join our growing team. We are an LGBTQ+ theatre company based in New York City, founded in Summer 2019 in honor of World Pride. Stay True had their debut production in November of 2019 and have produced virtual productions during the pandemic.



The Graphic Designer will work alongside the Founding Artistic Director, Associate Artistic Director, and Artistic Assistant.



QUALIFICATIONS & DUTIES:

An overall love and knowledge for/of theatre

Identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ Community (Woman+, Non-Binary, and/or BIPOC are strongly encouraged to submit)

Positive attitude

Excellent collaborator

Strong attention to detail ability to accept criticism and multi-task, and good eye for proofing

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills – characterized by the ability to listen and speak

Design and develop promotional materials such as posters, flyers, and advertisements

Experience with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc)

Past theatrical poster design preferred

Web design preferred

Work closely with the overall artistic team, but especially the Artistic Assistant who runs the social media and social media campaigns.



At the moment, due to the fact that Stay True is up-and-coming, the artistic staff of Stay True does not take home any kind of salary. All funds raised through donations and ticket sales go to our production teams, actors, and into the company for the future. As the company grows and thrives, pay for the artistic team will be discussed.
