About the Production:

Roll the Bones Theatre Company is holding auditions for performers to vivify their forthcoming immersive production, No. 9.



No. 9 is an experimental nightlife space that fuses theater, art, music, food and beverage into a self-contained oasis for adults. It is a retreat from the sensory barrage of New York City - a social experiment driven by site-specific performance, presence, and genuine spontaneous connection. No phones allowed.



After passing through a defunct Dead Letter Postal Facility, pairs of guests are admitted into the show environments. These three exquisitely designed theatrical environments transport intimate groups of strangers to another time and place. Performer Hosts are the key facilitators of conversation among these groups of strangers.



Role Requirements Description:

There are five main roles throughout the show: hosts in each of the three different show environments and two postal employees.



We are seeking intuitive, sensitive, charming, courageous, clever, strange human beings to take up the challenge of bringing visitors to a place of genuine connection night after night.



Performers must be endlessly curious, deeply self-possessed, exceptional improvisers. We are seeking playful, thoughtful, empathetic, authentic individuals. Bonus points if you’re funny; immersive experience worth mentioning.



Performers must be 21+; all ages, genders, religions, ethnicities, and backgrounds encouraged to apply.



The initial contract will be 4-6 months, with opportunity to renew. Shows will run 4-6 nights/week. Preference will be given to performers with a minimum availability of 3 nights/ week, excluding requested times off.



Auditions will be held Tuesday 9/5 and Wednesday 9/6 from 4pm-7pm on location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
