We are seeking passionate storytellers who thrive on the challenge of creating a show that
offers an interactive audience experience. We are looking for individuals with contagious
enthusiasm and a deep commitment to the authentic heart of Jamaica and Bob Marley’s music.
Contract Length: yearly
Must be willing to relocate to Las Vegas. Contract includes a relocation allowance and two
weeks of housing in Las Vegas.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
Bob Marley Hope Road is a revolutionary entertainment experience that will open in the spring of 2025 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Enter a world where the heartbeat of one man unites all in celebration, as Bob Marley’s life and music unfolds around you in a lyrical tapestry of color and sound.
ROLES:
LEAD FEMALE VOCALIST: The character is a black woman from 18 to 23 with a Jamaican accent. She is the vibrant heart and soul of Jamaica, an enchanting pixie-like endearing character. A strong singer who performs “Redemption Song” a cappella, as well as a dynamic storyteller through Rasta spoken word. She is an engaging force of nature, physical, agile, and adventurous, always climbing and moving with playful energy. Her charisma makes her a natural leader, drawing everyone into her orbit as they eagerly follow her through the show. The ability to speak with a Jamaican accent or Jamaican Patois is required. LEAD MALE DANCER CHARACTER: The character is a multifaceted Black male dancer, 20s to 30s, with a rich, diverse performance background. He is the captivating Rasta character that demonstrates the spirit and journey of Bob Marley. He masterfully uses body language to bring the character to life and demonstrate a physical, mental and emotional journey. His repertoire is vast. A fusion of Alvin Ailey’s style interwoven with acrobatics or other distinctive or unique skills. No dialogue or accent required.
LEAD ACTOR / DJ: The character is a Black male or female actor, 20s to 40s. This Rasta character is a masterful Jamaican on the mic, who captivates the audience with vibrant energy and charismatic presence. As music pulses through the air, the character engages with individuals and the whole crowd, weaving tales and has an innate ability to let the music guide the night, where every beat tells a story and every moment is filled with the spirit of Jamaica. The character is not required to be an authentic DJ, but they should have a good feeling for music, improv, and audience interaction skills. The ability to speak with a Jamaican accent or Jamaican Patois is required. Please be prepared to improvise/present a short, 30 second monologue as if you were the DJ at a Jamaican dancehall speaking to a large crowd. Please audition using a Jamaican accent or Jamaican Patois.
LEAD FEMALE DANCER: The character is a Black female in her 20s. She is a brilliantly skilled, technically-trained contemporary dancer who radiates strength, light, and beauty. She is a leader amongst women and embodies grace and power with a soulful depth. She has an extraordinary ability to evoke emotion through movement and dance. No dialogue or accent required.
SUPPORTING FEMALE SINGERS: These characters are dynamic Black or multi-racial women in their 20’s to 30’s. They serve as the “Greek chorus” for the show. Inspired by the powerful and unique voices behind Bob Marley’s music. Exceptional harmony and collaboration skills required. No dialogue or accent required. Please prepare a short Reggae song that showcases your range. Please bring a backing track.
DANCEHALL DANCERS: All genders, all ethnicities. Individual and stand alone, dynamic dancers with strong improvisational skills. Jamaican folk dance and contemporary are a plus but not required. These dancers bring the vibe and electric energy of an authentic Jamaican dancehall. Unique acrobatic skills or other unique dance-based skills are a plus but not required. No dialogue or accent required.
DANCERS: All genders, all ethnicities. There are several different categories of dancers in the production. Technically-trained diverse dancers who are able to execute a wide range of styles and choreographic skills. Athletic choreography for all. Acrobatics are a plus but not required. Some dancers are required to have superior upper body strength and perform acrobatics. No dialogue or accent required.

In addition to New York, we are holding open dance calls in the cities Miami, Chicago, LA, Las Vegas, and Atlanta (please visit hoperoad.castingcrane.com for details). It is not necessary to submit your information if you would like to be considered for one of the dancer roles- please just attend an open call. If you would like to be seen for one of the lead roles, please submit your information to hoperoad.castingcrane.com, and we will be reaching out with appointment times very soon.
Dancers! Please bring a resume and photo to the audition. Flat shoes/sneakers are fine to wear. Ladies please bring heels as well. Dancers should be prepared to improv. Dancers do not need to pre-register.
18+ only please. All performers must be willing to relocate to Las Vegas for a one-year contract (relocation package provided).
Salary: $1,600 / week gross salary minimum during performance weeks for up to six--day, up to 8 hours per day.
