Actors should prepare a brief contemporary language-driven monologue (at least 1 minute, but under 2)
Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Seeking:
Danielle
30s, female, any ethnicity. Danielle is a beauty editor at a big fashion magazine. She is diagnosed with possibly terminal cancer at the start of the play. Wide open, deep, scared, funny, a fine tuned sense of irony. A workaholic girl next door.
Lee
30s, female, any ethnicity. Lee is an accessories editor at a big fashion magazine. A sly party girl, and Danielle’s best friend. Pushes down her feelings and can come off as cold. Attractive in a more austere way.
Tiffany
30s, female, any ethnicity. Tiffany is a lifestyle editor at a big fashion magazine. Good friend/coworker of Lee and Danielle. The consummate brash, glam city girl. No filter, self-absorbed and myopic, but with a heart of gold. A comedic role with some heft.
Kit
30s, male, any ethnicity. A freelance video editor. Handsome and charming, caddish. Not where he wants to be in life. Has a mysterious vibe that masks deep insecurity. He gets romantically involved with both Danielle and Lee over the course of the play.
Seth
late 20s, any ethnicity. A call center operator at an insurance company. Midwestern and “salt of the earth.” Direct, empathic, a great listener. Over the course of the play he develops romantic feelings for Danielle without ever laying eyes on her.
Autumn
22, any ethnicity. An editorial assistant at a big beauty magazine. Starts off an innocent, nervous to get things right, takes the temperature around her, but over the course of the play her ambition flourishes. Has an otherworldly quality.
