Breakdown
Additional Salary information: $44 per performance, $9 per hour rehearsal time, please note that this contract does not offer health insurance weeks, but producer pays pension and workers comp. Understudies are paid 20 hours of rehearsal time, and $48 per performance whenever they go on, however they do not need to be present at performances.
Show runs 6 weeks of 5 performance per week: Thu-Fri at 8pm, Sat. at 4pm & 8pm, and Sun. at 7pm.
'The Trouble We Come From' is a world premiere romantic comedy, written by Scott Caan. Charlie finds himself at a crossroads in his life, with the news that his girlfriend is pregnant. Charlie confides in his best friend, Vince, that he has recently crossed paths with past girlfriends and other women in his life and, in this tangled web of relationships, is unsure about commitment.
Seeking actors and understudies age 18 or older, all ethnicities encouraged, for the following roles:
Charlie: mid to late 30's, stressed, a playwright/director whose new play is just opening, just found out his girlfriend is pregnant, but has had commitment issues in the past.
Vince: mid to late 30's, good looking, confident, relaxed, an actor, Charlie's best friend. Scott Caan is pre-cast as Vince, seeking understudy for this role.
Shelly: late 20's to early 30's, beautiful, Charlie's present girlfriend, in early stages of pregnancy.
Joanna/Samantha/The Blond/Kelly: late 20's, early 30's, this actress plays all of the other women in the show, girlfriends past and present temptations, visiting Charlie at this crossroads point in his life.
All roles are understudied
