Equity actors for roles in THE TIMEKEEPERS.
Prisoner #1793 (Benjamin): male, early 30s; a formerly well-to-do German Jewish horologist; physically slight and thin preferred; a long-time prisoner at Sachsenhausen; has withdrawn behind a cold, hard façade of distrust to hide his fear, pain, rage, and vulnerability; laser-focused on his own survival and the fate of his wife and children; begins the play as a deep-seated homophobe; sings well. NOTE: Must be willing to cut his hair short.
Prisoner #9355 (Hans): male, late 20s to early 30s; a working-class German Christian gay man; the newest prisoner at Sachsenhausen; a brazenly sassy, overtly sexual, and defiantly queer denizen of the Berlin cabaret clubs; uses this persona to mask his fear, pain, rage, and vulnerability; begins the play as a deep-seated anti-Semite; NOTE: Must be willing to shave his head.
