Preparation
Women: Most of the audition will be on POINTE. Bring pointe shoes and flat ballet shoes.

Men: Bring ballet shoes.

All prepare 16 bars from the musical theatre repertoire that best shows off your voice and range. Bring sheet music in your key. Accompanist provided.

Breakdown

SEEKING FUTURE REPLACEMENTS FOR THE BROADWAY COMPANY.

All female dancers must be 5’5” or under, have a degree of innocence about them and look very young (18-25). We need experienced, classically trained dancers. Most of the audition will be on POINTE. Please have pointe shoes and flat ballet shoes with you.

All male dancers must be 6’0” or taller and must be classical/ballet dancers. They should have solid classical technique with a musical theatre flair. They must be well built and muscular.

There is no solo singing for the dancers (except ‘Meg’), but they will have to carry some vocal responsibility in the ensemble numbers.

In addition, there is the principal role of ‘Meg’ who is a member of the Corps de Ballet. She should appear to be between 16 and 18 years old. The range is mezzo-soprano to G..

Casting for The Phantom of the Opera is interracial. Dancers of all ethnic backgrounds and races are encouraged to attend.
