Preparation
Sides will be provided at the EPA.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Anybody interested in being considered for one of the three dancers, should bring a picture/resume and be ready to talk a bit about your specific dance training / background.

Each of the following are expected to be in attendance at the EPA – one in the AM and one in the PM. However, the exact schedule is yet TBD.

Breakdown

A MOTHER:
30s. American. A woman with a toddler who is interested in Buddhism. She has a keen, smart mind, is spiritually interested, genuinely maternal and compassionate and able to wrestle with large moral questions.

A FATHER:
30s – Early 40s. Tibetan, living in the US. Someone who has lived in exile most of his life, and lived with the pain of missing his country, someone with spiritual generosity who can be both practical and capable of romantic impulses.

A MONK:
20s. Tibetan. A kind and tender-hearted man who could look after a small boy. Has grace and dignity and a gentle spirit.

A LAMA:
50s – 70. Tibetan. A man of spiritual bearing, intellectual acuity, and generosity. Has a powerful enough bearing to be a leader.

A PUPPETEER:
30s - 70s. Tibetan. Male. An old soul. He should have the virtuosity to do all of the following things: manipulate a puppet, speak in both a child’s voice and the voice of a 70 year old spiritual master, he should be a graceful mover and a powerful actor with the ability to transform.

THREE DANCERS:
20s – Early 40s. Tibetan. Female. To be members of an ensemble who will dance and may also work with puppets. Should have dance training, optimally in Tibetan dance and also be open to other ways of moving and dancing.

Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
