Breakdown
C.P. ELLIS - White, 40-50. North Carolina native. Head of the Durham, Klan. Tough, uncompromising, intimidating - an imposing figure with a powerful voice. A natural leader.
MARY ELLIS - White, 40-50. C.P.’s wife. North Carolina native, the mother of his disabled child. Wise, strong, struggling with her marriage, she has a deep understanding of human nature.
ANN ATWATER - Black, North Carolina native. A force of nature with a powerful presence. Outspoken, uncompromising, funny, willful and deeply committed to her community. Her views are heartfelt. She is savvy and fiercely independent.
BILL RIDDICK - Black, 35- 45. A community organizer with a strong sense of purpose and the gift of optimism, humor, and fearlessness. A natural uniter who is bright, courageous, and resourceful. Originally from North Carolina, but his accent has softened.
