Breakdown

SEEKING:

Tammy:
30’s. Need Charismatic actress with an excellent country voice (belt to C#). Must play some guitar.

Young Tammy/various roles:
20’s. Need Strong actress with a good country voice. Sings “My Man (Understands)”. Must play some guitar (banjo, mandolin, fiddle also qualify)

Meemaw/ various roles:
Female. 50’s 60’s. Need Comic actress with timing and sensitivity. Sings
“God’s Gonna Getcha for That”. Plays autoharp.

George Jones:
30’s-40’s. Need Captivating actor. Country superstar. Must play guitar.

Six Ensemble men:
20’s- 60’s. Need Strong musicians who act and sing. Roles include:
Euple Byrd, Don Chapel, George Richey, Billy Sherrill, Burt Reynolds, and other
ensemble roles. Key Instruments: Drums, Bass (upright and electric), Rhythm Guitar
(acoustic and electric), Keyboards, Lead Guitar, Pedal Steel. Also included: Dobro,
Mandolin, Banjo, Accordion and Harmonica.
