Seeking Equity and non-Equity actor/singers for 4 available roles (1 man, 3 women). see breakdown
Preparation Prepare two contrasting one-minute cuts of Sondheim songs that show vocal and acting versatility and ability to tell a story and connect truthfully with a lyric. Bring sheet music in your key. Accompanist provided. No recorded accompaniment or a cappella singing. Bring a headshot and resume.

Seeking: Equity and Non-Equity performers for the following roles: MAN 1 To play 40s – strong singer and storyteller, comfortable with Sondheim music and lyrics, versatile actor, handsome, charming, vulnerable, good comic timing, moves well. Sings “You Must Meet My Wife,” “The Little Things,” “Getting Married Today,” “Barcelona,” “Marry Me a Little,” “Beautiful Girls,” “Buddy’s Blues,” “We’re Gonna Be All Right,” among others. Tenor. WOMAN 1 To play 30s – strong singer and storyteller, comfortable with Sondheim music and lyrics, versatile actor, the “ingénue” of the piece but with enough life experience to be both strong and vulnerable, good comic timing, moves well. Sings “If Momma Was Married,” “Getting Married Today,” “Barcelona,” “Anyone Can Whistle,” “I Have a Love,” “The Boy from…,” “Losing My Mind,” among others. Comfortable switching between soprano and mix/belt. WOMAN 2 To play 40s – strong singer and storyteller, comfortable with Sondheim music and lyrics, versatile actor, the “wry, ironic” one of the piece, a tough cookie who is still able to be vulnerable, good comic timing, moves well. Sings “If Momma Was Married,” The Little Things,” “I Remember,” “Another Hundred People,” “Ah, Paree!,” “We’re Gonna Be All Right,” “A Boy Like That,” “Could I Leave You?” among others. Strong mix/belt. WOMAN 3 To play 50s – strong singer and storyteller, comfortable with Sondheim music and lyrics, versatile actor, the “character” of the piece, able to be both acerbic and wise, sarcastic and vulnerable, good comic timing, moves well. Sings “You Must Meet My Wife,” “Getting Married Today,” “Can That Boy Foxtrot,” “I Never Do Anything Twice,” “Broadway Baby,” “Send in the Clowns,” “I’m Still Here,” among others. Strong mix/belt with a solid soprano.
