SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre's 2025 Summer/Fall Season (see breakdown). Rocky Mountain Rep. encourages actors of all ethnicities, nationalities, and gender identities to audition for their productions.

A professional repertory company of singer/actor/dancer/mover artists of all types to perform in all of our 3 summer repertory shows: Frozen, Guys & Dolls, & Footloose. All cast actors participate in all 3 shows with an onstage part or as an understudy. This is a 14-week contract.

Also seeking singer/actors of all types for our 6-week fall show contract; NUNSENSE. This is a separate contract from the summer repertory shows.

PREPARATION

Please prepare 2 brief cuts of music that are appropriate for our season slate of shows. Please bring music in your key and readable for pianist. Please bring picture and resume stapled together as well.

BREAKDOWN

ROCKY MOUNTAIN REPERTORY 2025 SEASON

FROZEN

SEEKING:

Elsa - Vocal Range: F3 to E5. The elder princess of Arendelle who ascends to be queen and has the magical ability to create ice and snow. She struggles with fear and control over her powers until she learns to embrace them.

Anna - Vocal Range: G3 to D5. Elsa's younger, optimistic, and determined sister. She embarks on a journey to bring back summer and reconnect with Elsa, showing courage, loyalty, and a strong sense of adventure.

Kristoff - Vocal Range: G2 to A4. A rugged, yet kind ice harvester with a deep sense of integrity and an affinity for his reindeer companion, Sven. He helps Anna on her quest and eventually becomes her romantic interest.

Olaf - Vocal Range: F#2 to F#4. A comically endearing snowman created by Elsa's magic, who dreams of experiencing summer. He's innocent, friendly, and naive in a charming way, providing comic relief and warmth. NOTE: Puppetry will be required.

Hans - Vocal Range: B2 to A4. The charming prince from the Southern Isles who visits Arendelle. He initially seems honorable and noble but is later revealed to have manipulative ambitions for power.

Other characters to be cast:
Sven (puppetry), Weselton, Pabbie, Bulda, and a strong singer/mover ensemble.

FROZEN: CHILDREN'S ROLES
Young Elsa & Young Anna - between the ages of 8–12 and under 56 inches tall. Strong singers with good comic timing.

GUYS & DOLLS

Sky Masterson - Vocal Range: B3 to E5. A charming, quick-witted, and confident gambler known for winning and taking risks. Sky is sophisticated and suave, yet capable of deep emotion, especially when it comes to his love interest, Sarah Brown.

Sarah Brown - Vocal Range: B3 to G5. A dedicated and sincere leader of the Save-a-Soul Mission, she strives to reform sinners and provide help to the less fortunate. Initially stern and proper, Sarah experiences a journey of personal discovery and love.

Nathan Detroit - Vocal Range: D4 to F5. The slightly neurotic but lovable organizer of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York. He is perpetually engaged to Miss Adelaide, dodging marriage while navigating the challenges of his gambling life.

Miss Adelaide - Vocal Range: A3 to E5. Nathan's long-suffering fiancée and a star performer at the Hot Box Club. She is humorous and kind-hearted, though frequently experiencing psychosomatic symptoms caused by her unyielding wait for Nathan to marry her.

Nicely-Nicely Johnson - Vocal Range: D4 to B5. A cheerful and well-loved gambler with a hearty appetite, he is one of Nathan Detroit's closest associates. Known for his positive outlook and infectious energy, especially highlighted in his show-stopping number Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat.

Arvide Abernathy - Vocal Range: D4 to F5. Sarah Brown's kind and gentle grandfather, who works with her at the mission. He serves as a father figure and is wise, caring, and supportive.

Ensemble: Benny Southstreet, Harry the Horse, Big Jule, Lt. Brannigan, Mission Band, Crapshooters, Hot Box Girls, etc. Strong singer/mover ensemble.

FOOTLOOSE

Ren McCormack - Vocal Range: D3 to C5. A spirited and rebellious teenager who loves to dance. Ren is the protagonist who moves from Chicago to the small town of Bomont, where dancing is banned. His charisma and determination make him a leader as he inspires the town's youth to stand up for what they believe in.

Ariel Moore - Vocal Range: G3 to E5. The high-spirited and independent daughter of Reverend Shaw Moore. Ariel is struggling to break free from her father's constraints and has a rebellious streak. She ultimately becomes Ren's love interest.

Reverend Shaw Moore - Vocal Range: A2 to G4. The influential and conservative pastor of Bomont who has banned dancing in town following a tragic accident that took the life of his son. Shaw is deeply pained by the past, and he strives to protect his community, though he eventually learns to embrace change and understanding.

Vi Moore - Vocal Range: G3 to D5. Ariel's supportive yet conflicted mother, who struggles with her marriage to Reverend Moore. Vi seeks balance between being a loving wife and standing up for her daughter's right to express herself.

Willard Hewitt - Vocal Range: B2 to A4. Ren's good-natured but dim-witted friend in Bomont. Willard lacks self-confidence but is fiercely loyal and eventually gains confidence. He also has a comedic subplot involving his attempts to impress his crush, Rusty.

Rusty - Vocal Range: A3 to F5. Ariel's funny, energetic, and outspoken best friend who is smitten with Willard. Rusty is talkative and adds a lot of humor to the story.

Ethel McCormack - Vocal Range: F3 to D5. Ren's loving and supportive mother who moves with him from Chicago to Bomont. Ethel stands by her son as they adapt to their new life.

Ensemble: Chuck Cranston, Wendy Jo, Urleen, singer/mover ensemble

NUNSENSE

Sister Mary Regina (Mother Superior) - Vocal Range: B3 to D5. The leader of the Little Sisters of Hoboken. She's a feisty and authoritative nun with a loving heart, but she has a penchant for getting into comedic situations, including a bit of trouble with a certain bottle of wine.

Sister Mary Hubert - Vocal Range: G3 to F5. The second-in-command, Mary Hubert is the mistress of novices. She is competitive with Mother Superior, especially when it comes to leadership. She has a strong voice and personality, often delivering big Gospel-style numbers.

Sister Robert Anne - Vocal Range: G3 to D5. A streetwise and humorous nun from Brooklyn with dreams of starring in the big numbers. Sister Robert Anne provides comic relief and often breaks the fourth wall, bringing a touch of sass and flair to her performances.

Sister Mary Amnesia - Vocal Range: Db4 to Eb5. An endearing yet absent-minded nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. She is sweet and innocent, with a talent for including a puppet act in the show. Her innocence and cluelessness are the source of much humor. Some trained soprano singing, as well as belt.

Sister Mary Leo - Vocal Range: G#3 to D5. A novice who dreams of becoming the first nun ballerina. She is young and enthusiastic, and her dream of blending her religious life with her love of dance creates fun dynamics and playful scenes. Some ballet dance.
