Breakdown

FRANK
African American male, in his 50s. Frank was one of the toughest, meanest, and most successful Football players of his time. He was from the old school of football where you wanted to hit harder than anyone else no matter what that did to the other player. This attitude caused him to paralyze another player, which later tanked his career. He is bitter about this because the entire sport was based on this one concept and that very concept has betrayed him. He now is trying to reclaim his identity in the sports world as a great retired football player and will defend what he did through and through with no regrets.

LEWIS
African American male, in his 30s. He is a young man who has ulterior motives from the beginning. He is the son of the man that Frank paralyzed on the field. He has great guilt about this and wants more than anything for Frank to take on that guilt he has felt for so many years. He is willing to manipulate and lie to get Frank to apologize for ruining a man’s life and admit that he hit him too hard.
