Actors/Singers/Dancers of ALL ethnicities for our 2019 Summer Season:
The Addams Family, Million Dollar Quartet, The Importance of Being Earnest

PREPARATION

If interested in Addams Family or Million Dollar Quartet please prepare 32-ish bars of an appropriate song. Those interested in Sam Phillips should prepare a short appropriate monologue.

If interested in The Importance of Being Earnest, please prepare a short appropriate monolgue.

Million Dollar Quartet

Dyanne- Female. early to mid 20’s. Vocal Range: A3 – D5. An aspiring singer, Elvis’s girlfriend. Historically she was a dancer who had Elvis wrapped around her finger. She is fun loving, and she knows how to hold her own. She is not the type of girl Elvis plans to marry, however she is the type of girl Elvis would take to Paris for the weekend.

Sam Phillips- Male. 33 years old. Sam Philips is the narrator of the show and more. He is the soul of the show. Looking for a powerful, charismatic actor who is not afraid to be vulnerable. Sam Phillips was the Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll and founder of Sun Records; discovered Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and many others, including Roy Orbison, and B.B. King. A towering and charismatic figure in American music.

Morticia Addams, Alto/Mezzo Sop. (G3 – Bb5), 35-45: Very interested in all ethnicities. Beautiful, leggy, the real head of the family and the critical and moving force behind it; easy comedic actress with a sexy, dry wit; feels her husband is hiding something from her and will use any tactic to lure the secret out; a good dancer.

Wednesday Addams, Strong pop voice with belt (A3 – E5), 18-25 to play 18:. Very interested in all ethnicities. Especially interested in a Joanna Jones type. Adorably Gothic, witty with a terrifically dry sense of humor; just wants her family to be “normal” for one night to meet the parents of the boy she’s fallen in love with; strong pop belt vocals.

Lucas Beinecke, Pop Tenor 18-25 to play 19: Very interested in all ethnicities. Attractive, in shape young man; fell in love with Wednesday Addams and plans to marry her; experiences the youthful pain and drama of young love and struggles with the differences between his family and the Addams family.

Uncle Fester, Tenor (C3 – C5), 30-50: Very interested in all ethnicities. Serves as the musical’s narrator; rotund and child-like, hugely enthusiastic and totally incorrigible; a vaudevillian, needs strong comedy and tenor vocals.

The Ancestors, all ages: Very interested in all ethnicities. Strong contemporary singer/dancers who have a fun, quirky sensibility. Must be able to hold harmonies and dance.

The Importance of Being Earnest

Director - Roger DeLaurier

Rehearsal starts July 23

Run August 17 - September 8

John “Jack” Worthing, aka Ernest, late 20’s, British upper class. Uses language to his advantage. A wealthy young gentleman who takes life seriously. He’s a friend of Algernon whose behavior he sometimes deplores. John is Cecily’s guardian and is in love with Gwendolen Fairfax. Very interested in all ethnicities.
