When a high school drug dealer does a drop off at a new address, he’s unexpectedly reunited with the father of his childhood best friend. The laid-off father is holed up to re-start the painting career of his youth, and this young entrepreneur wants to help. So, they make an unusual arrangement.

BREAKDOWN
DEX
39, male. Any ethnicity. Leathery and lanky, disheveled and dehydrated. A natural lecturer. A painter, dependent on substances for inspiration. He can turn from warm and attentive to cold and defensive on a dime.
GABE
17, male. Any ethnicity. High-energy, competent. Goatee and a scar over one eye. A natural caretaker.
HENDRIX
18, male. Dex’s slightly estranged son. Artsy, hip, brooding, half Latinx. On a different plane from Dex and Gabe, he is headed to RISD after graduating high school.
