Note: this EPA will focus on the first 4 productions in the season. Auditions for LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR & GRILL will be held on an upcoming date still TBD.

Preparation
Prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue and please have a contrasting monologue ready if asked

Seeking: 1 woman, 1 man for:

Emily Webb
18+ to play 17-late 20s. The eldest Webb child. A beautiful, young woman who falls in love with George Gibbs. She ages as the play progresses.

George Gibbs
18+ to play 17-late 20s. The eldest Gibbs child. A handsome, young man who falls in love with Emily. A kind but irresponsible teenager who matures over time. He ages over the course of the play.

Mathias “Jim” Gold
50s; Handsome. A down-on-his luck American in Paris. He is a bitter, broken, self-pitying man with a severe drinking problem.

Mathilde Giffard
90s. A still quite beautiful, proud, strong and sophisticated French woman. She is a bohemian old lady who considers herself a free-spirit.

Chloe Giffard
50s. Mathilde’s beautiful spinster daughter. She is high strung, outspoken and rigid. A real sourpuss.

Seeking: 4 women for:

La Marquise de Merteuil
40s-50s. An aristocratic widow of considerable means, Merteuil is a shrewd and charming self-made woman. She uses careful manipulation and her considerable charms to control everyone and everything in her life.

La Presidente de Tourvel
late 20-30s. A beautiful, chaste religious wife of a Parliament member. Vulnerable and sensitive, she is tortured by the battle between her strong moral beliefs and her passionate feelings for Valmont.

Mme. Rosemonde
Early 80s. Valmont's aunt and “Grande Dame” of the play. She is arthritic but lively, intelligent and sympathetic. Rosemonde is both elegant and wise.

Cecile Volanges
18+ to play 16. A slim, attractive girl fresh out of the convent and madly in love with Danceny. She is preyed upon by The Marquise and Valmont and quickly transforms from naïve child to willing adventuress.

early 20s. Vince’s girlfriend. She has youthful, upbeat energy. She is kindhearted and ingratiating.
