BREAKDOWN
[AHMED QURIE] (Male, 50’s, Palestinian) A great and formidable man, full of passion and speechmaking. Rabelaisian in his appetites and operatic in his emotions. He has a volcanic temper that he uses to his advantage. Not an intellectual and defensive about that. Immensely charming, intensely clever.
[JOEL SINGER] (Male, 40’s, Israeli) Twenty-year veteran of the Israeli Defense Force who’s a partner now in a law firm in Washington, D.C. He’s often bad cop to Uri Savir’s good one. Sharp as hell and knows it.
[YAIR HIRSHFELD/SHIMON PERES] (Male, 50’s, Israeli) Hirschfield-A professor. Earnest and passionate and out of his depths in these negotiations but willing to risk all. Very smart, a bit shy. SHIMON PERES- A man in his 60’s. The elegant, larger-than life scion of the Israeli left; more European than Israeli; a charmer and seducer held in awe by those around him. One of his nation’s founding fathers—an Old World Intellectual…who will twist the knife in when needed; the most powerful man in the room.
